UNI EN 1335
Working conditions and the protection of office workers, in terms of health and safety, lay down that “chairs for office work” be produced in line with ergonomic principles and the minimum functional requirements set out in the following:
UNI EN 1335-1, dimensions and setting dimensions;
UNI EN 1335-2, safety requirements;
UNI EN 1335-3, safety test methods. The chairs are categorized, according to specific performance and dimensional characteristics, into three different classes.
Class A lays down the tightest dimensional requirements, anthropometrically representative of from 5% to 95% of the population.
Class B sets out requirements that are intermediate between the classes, respecting the minimum levels demanded by D.Lgs. 626.
Class C is characterized by the minimum requirements.
